» Best Records of 2005

The INDEPENDENT Weekly

We don’t think these are the year’s best records. That’s an argument no one should ever win. Each of us do, however, remember that these are certainly some of the finest records we heard, and that’s the point. Already, in looking at the lists of Chris Toenes and Rick Cornell, I noticed a few records I didn’t hear this year that sound more than interesting. That’s the point: Sharing a year’s worth of listening with people just as obsessed with music as yourself. Happy 2006.
