About

Raleigh is still a bigĀ  small town, still part of the the Triangle. But with a population closing in on 400,000, plus our own mushrooming suburbs to the east, we’re more and more the center of our own region — known to the demographers as the Raleigh-Cary MSA — and we aspire to major-league status on our own. And our own zen, if you will.

And we’re the Cap City, too, a badge we wear proudly regardless what anyone else thinks of state gummint.

In Chapel Hill, they say Raleigh’s solipsistic. (They use words like that.)

We don’t know what their point is … but of course, we don’t care either. :)

As for me, I’m a citizen of Raleigh who’d love it if we were major-league and who hopes some day we will be.
