That Council-CACs Therapy Session: It’s Off
If you’re like me, you’ve had Tuesday, October 16 circled on your calendar as the day when the therapist facilitator was coming to help City Council deal with its CAC issues. That’s Citizen Advisory Councils for short — citizens trying to influence city bidness, in other words. Since the elections turned two Council members into lame ducks, however — and a third, who didn’t run for re-election, already was — Mayor Meeker has put the meeting off until the new Council takes office in December. Makes sense. Two of the newly elected members, Nancy McFarlane and Rodger Koopman, are big CAC backers, unlike the duo they defeated.
