We interrupt this vacation …

… to say that Citizen won’t be blogging again for a month or so. I’ll be off, but while I am, I’ll be thinking about Ed Ridpath, the hardest-working man in Wake County politics right now, IMO. Give him a hand if you can — he’s running for the N.C. House down in god’s country, District 37 (Southwest Wake), against our old conservative stalwart friend Paul (Skip) Stam.

Democrats weren’t even trying in District 37 before Ed got into it a year ago. And I mean, he got into it. As one of his friends said recently, “If hard work can win it, Ed will win it.” To which I would add, if Ed wins, he won’t just be another ho-hum Democrat in the House, bowing and scraping to the likes of Jim Black. This guy’s the real progressive deal.

By the way, speaking of JimBlackMustGo.com, if Kevin Geddings wasn’t working for Scientific Games when Black put him on the Lottery Commission, why was he spending time in Raleigh–and why, again, did Black pick him? Sometimes, you know, a duck is a duck.
