Jim Black Must Go — what chapter is it again?
What are they putting in the (salt) water down there in Wilmington? Whatever it is, it’s given their local daily a sourpuss when it comes to House Speaker Jim Black. You’d think the guy was taking money or something. After all, as the editorial itself points out, he remains unindicted.
Um, not to put too fine a point on it, but the Republicans have a pretty good campaign thing going with their Black = Corruption pitch. (As good as they can get, given their total lack of actual positions on actual issues.) So remind me, what are the Democrats running on again? It’s sure not cleaning up Raleigh. Maybe Gov. Easley will get out on the stump for them? That’s Michael F., if you’re keeping score.

Fortunately for the Dems, they can hang onto the coattails of Supreme Court Chief Justice Sarah Parker come Nov. 7. (And yes, that is Mike Nifong with her.)
Oh, that’s right — no, they can’t.
Blue-moon election, people. No major statewide elections. Like 1994.

I don’t know the answer but I keep getting drawn to Chapters 7, 11 and, 13.
