Walk the Horseshoe
The Wake Audubon Society will lead interpretive tours at Horseshoe Farm Park August 26 & September 2, starting at 9 am. Bring binoculars if you have them, wear sturdy foot gear, and don’t forget your imagination. Says Audubon’s John Connors: “I love spending time in the Horseshoe. You know you’re in the bend of a splendid river there…you sense its presence, and it’s a place which shares its wildlife easily. Big woods, wide open spaces, tranquility and flowing water… it’s just a great place to spend time outdoors.” All ages are welcome. In the event of rain, the walks will be cancelled.
