The leader is McCain — it’s your Friday poll fix …
… which is, as always, good for the whole weekend.

The Diageo/Hotline Poll, just out, has Republican Sen. John McCain leading Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton by 12 points. Good news for “our Johnny” Edwards? Last month, the same poll had McCain over Edwards by 13. McCain was 18 points ahead of Al Gore the month before. Voters might not think much of President Bush, but apparently they haven’t turned against the idea of a Republican president — or else don’t see a real attractive Dem alternative yet.
